Essex has been involved with the development and management of hotels since 1990. These other hotels are located in eleven different states. 

Recently, Essex assisted ownership with most aspects of the acquisition and $16 million redevelopment of the 155 guestroom Strathallan Hotel in the cultural district of Rochester, NY. The Strathallan was re-flagged as a Doubletree by Hilton. Upon re-opening, Essex managed the hotel for six months before transitioning management to ownership as planned. At the time of transition, the hotel was substantially exceeding expectations and ranked #1 in customer satisfaction of all Doubletree by Hilton hotels. 

Essex has developed and managed hotels for such major brands as Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Microtel Inn & Suites and Homewood Suites by Hilton, and has provided management services for a full-service Ramada Inn. Essex principals also have been involved with the management of other branded hotels including Holiday Inn, Radisson Hotel, and Sheraton Hotel. 

Prior engagements have included hotels in which Essex has had an ownership interest and others for which services were provided on a strictly third-party basis.
